Gulf Medical Company had a great and profound faith when we first introduced robotic surgery to the medical field in Saudi Arabia that such technology will evolve and flourish, if the proper educational and clinical support is provided, and we took this burden on our shoulders throughout the past few years, to make sure that this target will be reached someday, and this year with more than 8 installed robotic systems in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, we are proud to witness the enormous technical progress and international exposure that our valuable customers are enjoying through the support of Gulf Medical Company.

This year the Urology Department at King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Center in Riyadh, represented by Dr. Waleed Al Khudair (Chairman of Urology Division) had signed an agreement for medical cooperation with “OLV” (Belgium Royal Hospital) in Belgium, which is recognized as a pioneer in robotic urology with considerable experience in several laparoscopic urologic procedures as primarily laparoscopic radical prostatectomy, partial nephrectomy and cystoprostatectomy.

Also Dr. Ismail AL Badawi (Consultant Gynecologist surgeon and Oncologists at King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Center) had been chosen as part of this year's scientific committee at the European Symposium on robotic gynecological Surgery arranged by the “SERGS” (Society of European Robotic Gynecological Surgery) on 9-11 September 2010 in Lund-Sweden, Dr. AL Badawi's name is part of the distinguished guest Faculty together with the most reputable and prestigious names in the field of Robotic surgery in USA and Europe.
